We were lost big time... The map that John drew out said to turn right on Divide - but he drew the road off to the left - so we gambled with left and checked out all the trails - none of which lead to camp sites. So, we got back to the main road and took a right on Divide. |
Luckily though, we saw his grandpa driving around on Butternut road - so he showed us the way in. The roads in were pretty cool - not meant for my Saab at the speeds we were going - so was glad we took the truck |
The night was slightly cold - need to also pack a hooded sweatshirt - the tent was also on a hill - so I kept rolling down during the night. So..... the morning came too quickly when the kids woke us up to show them their dragonflies. |

The 2 mile path around the lake was great for hiking and biking. Since I forgot my bike I ended up borrowing Dan's and Bobby Joe's. We were never lost around the Hidden Lakes area thanks to all the red ribbon markings.. |
